Our Nexus macro, APEX steel and Vertex micro polypropylene fibres are all CE compliant with market leading performances. Structural performance for our Nexus 85 and APEX 60 fibres, in compliance with EN14889, is at dosage rates significantly lower than other products in the market.

Industrial Flooring – Ground and Pile Supported
Adopting the design methodology of Technical Report 34 “Concrete Industrial Ground Floors – fourth edition”, our range of APEX steel fibres can be used in the design of ground supported or pile supported concrete slabs. Dosage rates are tailored to the specific parameters of the project considering loading, joint type and joint spacing.
External Pavements
Our Nexus 85 macro fibres provide structural solutions at a dosage rate of just 2.5kg/m3, providing load carrying performance to the concrete slab. FCS can provide detailed calculations with consideration of joint spacing, ground conditions, loading and vehicle movements.
Beam & Block Flooring
FCS have approval for the use of Nexus 85 synthetic macro and APEX 60 steel fibres on all Beam and Block applications approved by the BBA and meeting the requirements of the NHBC. These solutions offer structural performance at the lowest dosage rates available on the market, at 2.5kg/m3 and 10kg/m3 respectively.
Precast
Individual precast applications can be considered based on an assessment of the structural performance and reinforcement design. FCS will investigate and understand the levels of reinforcement required and propose the relevant fibre alternative through detailed evaluation and calculation.
Underground – Shotcrete and Precast Segmental Linings
Meeting the demanding levels of performance required for underground construction requires an appreciation of the engineering performance and testing needed to demonstrate compliance for such applications.
FCS underground and mining expertise allows a full evaluation and proposals to be made for the use of fibre reinforcement in lieu of traditional cage reinforcement, and appropriate use of Vertex micro fibres for explosive spalling resistance where applicable.
Screeds & Toppings
FCS can demonstrate frc designs for structural or non-structural screeds and toppings, that are able to replace traditional reinforcement with fibres, saving time and money and providing improved health and safety for workers on site.
